Easter fun

We're alittle behind on posting but I wanted to share from Easter picts. anyway.
Shari's favorite holiday is Easter! She even chooses it over Christmas. This year we had two easter egg hunts, one at each of the grandma's houses. The kids had a lot of fun with their cousins.

Jamie loves it when we babysit her cousin Brooke. She will be very helpful when our baby comes, but maybe alittle to helpful. She is constently wanting to hold her, feed her, and make her happy!
They will be good friends one day!

As for the rest of us, Josh is getting really busy at work and is really enjoying it. We are starting to work on our yard and if we could just get a few nice days we could make a little more progress. We are anxious to get the yard done and then offically say we are done working on our house. Then we will take a nice long break from all our projects.
I am starting the count down for the baby! 6 MORE WEEKS (4 if I have any say in this!!) I am feeling good and enjoying getting the babies room ready.

A Month of FUN

We started the month out with a kids birthday party at my mom's house. They had alot of fun playing games and decorating their own cupcakes! That night the adults went to dinner and left the kids with a babysitters! (Thanks Sheila and Joseph)

Then we had a birthday party for me and Josh. Josh got the blue candles I got the pink ones!

Next Shari got to take cupcakes to preschool for her birthday.

And ofcourse her birthday party at our house. She wanted a Tom and Jerry cake AND if you look closely she insisted on putting more candles on the cake then just 5!

I can't believe I have a 5 year old. And such a cute one too!! My mom and I made her this dress for her birthday. (okay mostly my mom made it but I cut it out, that's the part I do best, and she did the sewing, that's the part she does best. We make a good team!)

Last we went snowmobiling in Island Park to finish off the birthday fun! Shari loves to snowmobile. She would have rode all day if she didn't like to swim so much too and had to make time for that also. Josh said she rode about 60 miles with him in two days.

Jamie on the other hand doesn't like the snowmobile she thinks it is to loud! I don't know if you can tell but in the picture she is frowning. Last year she just cried and didn't want to get near the snowmobile. This year after a short ride with dad she decided maybe it wasn't so bad. After her ride she said, "Mom, I didn't cry!"
Later we all went for a ride to Warm Springs to see the big fish!

Even Jamie came!

On the way home they were pretty tired!

KIDS SAY THE CUTEST THINGS!

The other day I was looking through some old photos. I came to a picture of Jamie when she was about a year old. I asked Jamie if she knew who it was and she didn't so I told her it was Jamie. She said, "I don't like that Jamie, I like this Jamie (pointing to herself)!"

I keep a journal of some of the cute things my kids say and I highly recommend it. It is so fun to look back at the things they say. A few weeks ago I told Shari that she got to sleep at Grandma house that night. She was SO excited! She kept hugging me and saying ,"Mom I love you more then you know!"

Happy Birthday to... Brayden, ME, Dad B., Josh, Jessie, Briggs, Shari, Lisa, Spencer, Conner. Now that's just our family down to nieces and nephews.
Now to add the rest of the family (cousins, Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents).
Sabrenna, Tru, Peyton, Carl, Karen, James, Stacey, Kent, Bronson, Katie, Grandma L, Jeremy, and Terri
Wow, we could have a party almost everyday!

I've been tagged!

This is the 4th picture in my 4th Folder. This is a picture of our last house that we lived in. It was a great place. We were the 2nd to last house on a dead end street and very few of our neighbors still had kids at home so it was always very quiet. The best part though was probably our neighbor, Mary. She was a widow in our ward that just loved my girls. She would invite them over to play alot and she had all the fun toys. My girls still love her and we try to keep in touch as much as possible. Even though Jamie was only 2 when we moved she still get exicted when we talk about Mary.
I tag Corey and Jessie!

Thank-goodness for procrastination

I'm not usually one to think that procrastination is a good idea but this time it worked for me! I have know for months that Jamie was ready to be potty trained but I wasn't ready. 1st with being sick when I was first pregnant and then I just didn't really care to much. Jamie had absolutely no desire to sit on the toilet, in fact she was afraid of it and would scream and cry everytime you put her on it. One day we took her to the dollar store and let her pick out a bunch of toys then we put them in a box. I told her if she would go on the toilet she could have a toy, she said, "no, I got lots of toys." Then I told her we would run out of diapers and she would have to use the toilet, she said, "we could go to the store and get some more." We tried candy but that did no good either. We told her what a big girl she would be if she used the toilet but she said, "I little girl!"
I was beginning to wonder how we were going to do this without it being a big fight. Then one day we ran out of diapers. First she said, "we could go to grandma's to get some." (we usually store some at grandmas house) but I told her they were all gone. I put her on the toilet and she kicked and screamed like usual and woundn't go. But later that afternoon she came to me and said she had to go. She's been going ever since and has never had an accident and she doesn't even want me to come help her. It's great, I can't believe my luck!!
She also has a GREAT big sister who will help her when she asks. Man I love my kids!
