Where did summer go?

Shari is starting school on Monday (tears) and I can't believe it is finally here, the day I will send my baby to kindergarden. She is so excited and that helps take away some of my nervous. So where did all the summer days go?
In July we had a family reunion on my dad's side of the family. We had a lot of fun! Below is Shari with some of her cousins playing an obstacle course game.

Also for part of the reunion we spent the day at the Pocatello Pool, the kids had a fun time there once it stopped raining on us! Josh, Jonas, and Jamie just trying to stay dry. While waiting for the rain to stop we went to the zoo across the street and then that afternoon got back in the pool.

Shari, Bailey, and Grandma! What BABES!

We also spent some of our summer days at the pool with friends. Jamie is trying to show Ana how to go underwater.

And of course, swimming lessons. The first few days were a battle to get the girls to get in the pool. Shari took a few minutes to feel comfortable and Jamie took a few days! Finally one of the days I got in the pool with her and that help a lot and she was able to get in by herself after that.
Below is a picture of them playing their favorite game, "what time is it Mr. Shark."

I'm sure Shari is telling Jamie just how she is suppose to be doing something!

Is any one tired of swimming yet??
Well after a long day at the pool there's always time for a nap!

Jonas is actually sucking his thump in the above pict and he does it all the time. Which is really great because when I lay him down he just finds his thumb and goes right to sleep. Below he is taking a nap with his cousin Brooke.

Last, its not summer without a day in the mud. Shari and uncle Spencer made a mud hole to play in, unfortunately I didn't know Shari was in the mud with her nice white shirt on until it was to late.

Josh spent most of his summer days out in the sun working, they have been very busy. He has also has been busy at our house putting in our sprinkler system and building a shop. Once both those things are finished we'll probably decide we will move into the spec house after all and the fun will start all over again! (Let's hope not!)
Hope everyone else had fun things to do this summer too.

The Sweetest Things

Hopefully it says it all in the title!

Best Friends

Last week we blessed our sweet litte boy. He has been such a good baby we can't even believe it. Most of you will remember that our girls were really fussy babies and cried ALL the time (expecially Jamie) but Jonas is so sweet. Sometimes I jump up as I realize he has been asleep for a couple hours and I think something must be wrong but he's just peacefully sleeping. Since he was about 4 weeks old he would sleep for 6 hours though the night, now he sleeps for at least 8!! What a blessing. He is smiling alot at us and making baby coo noises. He loves to smile at the girls and recognizes their vioces right away. Of course who wouldn't recognize a vioce that was always so loud! He has been such a wonderful addition to our family.

My mom made Jonas's cute blessing outfit. Also in her wisdom (so she likes to say!) she saved the left over fabric from my wedding dress and has used parts of it for all of my kids blessing outfits. Jonas's vest and bow tie are both from my dress! THANKS MOM!

A couple of weeks ago I made the adventure of going to the store will all 3 kids! YICKS! Well for our first outing I choose to go to Twin Falls (what was I thinking right?) Well, it turned out great. I was so proud of Shari, she stepped up to the plate of being the big sister and was so helpful. She help Jamie in and out of the car, held her hand to cross the parking lot, and put the groceries in the bags at winco (they make you do it yourself). What a good experience it turned out to be for her. Except for the time we all had to go to the bathroom at the same time and the time I had to nurse Jonas while driving through the drive through at McDonalds we did great. (the drive through is a story all of its own!)
Also thanks to the Moby wrap. If you have more then one kid you need one of these. I wrapped Jonas in it the whole day and he was so happy and so was I and no big car seat to carry around.
